A novel by Donald F. Glut
(1980, 1995, Ballantine Books)
Book 2 of The Star Wars Trilogy
3 years after Star Wars: A New Hope
The Rebels evacuate their new base on Hoth.
Luke trains under a new master on Dagobah, and goes to the rescue of Han
and Leia when they are captured by Vader.
Read March 7th to 11th, 1997 for the second time
Once again, the book was not as good as the movie. Still
little depth to the characters, but more than the first book.
There were numerous places throughout the book where it differed
considerably. A good refresher, though.
GRAPHICAL
ADAPTATION
A graphic novel by Archie Goodwin, Al Williamson (1995, Dark Horse Comics)
Read April 30th to May 8th, 1997
Like the Star Wars Graphic Novel,
this one also differed from the movie, but less so. The graphics
were much better, and the story gave other elements dealt with in the novel.
Much better than the original Star Wars one...
