A young mutant and his brother take different paths to using their powers; one enjoying the kill, while the other tries to lead a normal life. |

Standard action fare, but uninspired. I almost wish they spent most of their time in the early years, without moving through the different wars in a montage. Stryker's team was aweful, and Logan's brother wasn't very well portrayed, either. |

Well made, and not just a bunch of fight sequences with no story to hold it together. Here are a pair of brothers who have fundamental differences in the way they view life. There are cool fights, but the main thrust of the story is trying to find closure, while they are both beign manipulated by Striker. I wonder if we'll see the brother in any future movies. |

There was a lot of fun to be had, but mostly the movie was shoot-em-up. The characters, however, had surprising depth -not that much, but more than I would expect from this kind of movie. I have trouble believing that Wolverine is so old, but if he can continually heal himself, then why not? If Stryker's all-powerful mutant killer was almost perfected here, why did he have to steal Xavier in X-Men? It seems a step backward. Is that really the way the Three Mile Island nuclear reactor breached? |
