This has now become Andor season 3, as the second season of the best Star Wars TV to date segues directly into this movie from years ago. There are a few inconsistencies, but I still really love this movie. K5 is hilarious, and the movie has a true Star Wars drive. It shows different rebel factions, a visit to Yavin 5, and we get to see both the Death Star and Darth Vader in action. The scenes on Skarif were amazing, from the base itself to the infiltration, the decoy blasts to the battle in orbit (love the hammerhead corvettes) and the final battle on the ground. Jen wasn't an overly charismatic character, but that was made up for by Andor. She's a catalyst more than a main character. In the end, she makes a decision to help the rebellion, despite its poor choices.

Different from a typical Star Wars movie, but so well written, especially in light of more recent outings, and the acting was also great. I don't think there was a moment that I didn't like, and battle to receive the transmission was a lot of fun and really exciting. The cinematography also impressed me. The placement of Star Destroyers in many of the scenes, especially over Jedha and relative to the Death Star, were very striking.

Truly enjoyable, and a true Star Wars movie. I never thought it was necessary to see how the plans were stolen, but the story has been told many times in comics, short stories and books, so it seems that others were interested. This movie is a great way to showcase that story. It's a tragic story, and I didn't think it would be so tragic, with no survivors. I thought the dialog was fun and funny, especially with the blind Force-sensitive, and the action was great.

Well made, well paced, and well acted. It doesn't get much better than this for a Star Wars movie. There was a lot of real humor, which came out naturally, both in dialog and action. The plot made sense and unrolled naturally. I don't think it was necessary for a fault to be intentionally introduced in the Death Star, but some people wonder how such a small port could cause a huge chain reaction, so why not. I really liked the use of Carrie Fisher's face, and Tarkin's. And it's great to see Darth Vader in lightsaber action -this Vader skill has never been seen before!
