I was mesmerized by the mood of this movie, the darkness within and how it was spooky in its use of darkness and relationships. The strange inmates who bonded over their doctor's misfortune and the way their gifts manifested allowed me to enjoy every part of the movie.

Dark, quiet (except for the nightmares), and with the feel of a real independent movie, I enjoyed the texture and the focus on characters provided by this mutant movie. It doesn't follow the big battle stereotypes of the X-Men movies. This mutant's ability is to bring out peoples' nightmares and make them real. I liked the way she shied away from it, and only through her friends was able to defeat the bad bear. This was a post-Logan movie, with mutants scattered and barely recognized, with companies taking advantage of that, and nobody to protect them, which is unfortunate. Also, I wonder why we never saw the doctor's nightmares.
