Rescued from the Hunger Games, Katniss is transported to District 13, where she is coerced into joining the propaganda war, as she travels into the zones of revolt and stirs up trouble for President Snow.

Another great story, with amazing characters and conspiracies behind conspiracies. The defiance Katniss shows at being contained, after being manipulated in two Games is so well done. It flows through the whole movie, as she wants to take more and more risks. It's also clear that Gale is taken with the rebellion, without a balanced approach of what should come later, and Katniss is starting to get horrified at the changes she sees in him.

I like the way they've made this into an action piece, but with terrific calm beats, like the song at the river. The characters are very nicely drawn, and Haymitch is funny as ever. I also like the way they brought Effie into the story, as she's a more memorable character, in a visual sense.

Exciting, and I really liked the characterizations. Katniss was suitably shell-shocked, and President Coin was a really tough lady. Gale was sad, especially when he knew he'd lost her for good, no matter what happened to Peeta.

After reading the book, I have to say that the writers improved slightly on the material, especially the psychological aspect. While the book of course offers more detail, the movie does a great job of giving us an emotional impact.

Having now seen all four movies, I think this one suffers a little more than the others. The acting is great, the settings and effects are amazing, but the story is the most unsettling, the most depressing. I knew exactly where they would end it, because it was the most logical spot. It does, however, allow the story to develop the characters of District 13 and especially President Coin, because the second half barely focuses on her at all -and she's very important for the end of the series.

I think this was the best of the Hunger Games movies so far. The acting was really superb, the effects amazing. It really hinged on the acting of Katnis, which was really amazing. The actress caught onto the nuances of the character and her emotions. I liked the way she automatically went for the explosive arrow when shown the different options!
