Even with time running out, they continue to secure defenses that can be used to turn away the impending vekornan raiders. Meanwhile, Jairon leads his small group into the dome that shelters crash survivors on Enceladus, only to make a startling discovery about its origins. While people's frustration with the four-hundred-year-old Arais reaches its peak, Jairon considers abandoning his old life - and Terra's defense - to be accepted into the newfound colony.
