This was a lot of fun.  I remember seeing Speed in the theatre, and it left me drained the first time.  The second time was just the same, except it was on a TV screen, and punctuated by commercial breaks.

Sure, there were cheesy parts, cheesy lines, and Reeves still can't act.  Bullock works well as the bumbling babe.  Somehow, it all works.  I think the credit has to go to the director here.  I don't know how a movie almost entirely set on a  bus could keep the suspense up for so long.

But it's fun.  Brainless fun, but intensely fun, and it kept me glued to the action for the whole movie.

I do have to say, though, that the movie could have ended without the subway train.  I can't figure out why, if he could speed the thing up to try and make it jump the tracks, he couldn't slow it down to a stop.  Ah well.
